Dr Barrie Leon
MBBS
I come from a family of GPs (my father, my brother, my uncles).
I graduated from Sydney Uni in 1975 and spent the next five years working at different hospitals.
I established my own general practice in Sydney in 1980. I worked there for the next 44 years and built up a solid community connection.
To me, one of the great joys and unique opportunities of general practice is that it truly does offer a chance to genuinely meet and to some extent become part of families.
Now that I have relocated to beautiful Launceston, I look forward to continuing my vocation to helping people across the broad spectrum that general practice offers.

Dr Julian Henley
MBBS (Lon) FACRRM
The time has finally come. I have retired. My last day touched my heart and soul receiving lovely written cards and presents from some amazing patients, some who have known over 20 years.
It was an unexpected day of sadness so if I miss you all too much I might start all over again.
Dr Henley had a stroke at work in 2013. He was destined to become diabetic unless he changed his diet which he did.
The changes he made inspired him to write his book to help you all to stay healthy and if you are overweight, how to lose it easily.
Dr Henley lost 4 and 1/2 kg in the first week! He did not go to the gym and he still had the odd Guinness.
After 8 weeks he lost 14 kg and had to put 7 back on because he was too thin but he will never get diabetes.
Copies of his book are available to purchase in the surgery or visit his website for more information:whatyouwerenevertold.com
